Let me preface this by saying I am a current resident of New England Village and have lived here for a year and a half. I was not pleased with the property after the first year but when faced with the hassle of moving and finding a new place to live in the middle of a pandemic, renewing our lease seemed like the lesser of two evils. To date it is the biggest regret of my life and I simply cannot allow anyone to go on thinking this is a suitable place to live. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT... LIVE HERE. This property specifically is the worst run rental complex I have ever seen and I can only imagine their other properties all across long island are run with the same amount of carelessness.
To begin they have MICE, which the property manager is seemingly well aware of and has no feasible plan to prevent this nuisance, his response “put out traps, and if you catch some, put out some more”. Secondly before I moved into my unit I previewed the apartment and there was a hole open in the living room ceiling which was caused by water damage from a storm prior to this visit, they assured me all damage would be fixed and there would be no issue once I moved in. It has been less than 2 years of living here and the ceiling in my living room has leaked at least 5 to 6 times in the same exact spot. You can see the shingles missing from the road whenever you drive by after a storm with heavy winds and their solution? Replacing the shingles just so they can fly off again the next time there’s a big storm, who knows what kind of damage is underneath that roof just waiting to burst into my living room. Their customer service is a joke, any maintenance requests must be addressed to the property manager who never seems to be available to speak, you would have to call him multiple times a day every day of the week and pray you get lucky enough to catch him. God forbid you leave a message with all the proper information, you wont get any follow up or response, you would have better luck staking out the property and trying to catch one of the staff. Any time you try to call any of the numbers they provide to address a concern no one can do anything for you, there isn’t even a specific customer service line or representative. CONTINUED...

My experience with Fairfield Properties and my leasing agent was very smooth. The property appears to be very peaceful and the unit clean and modern. Looking forward to moving in and making it home.
